RESOLUTION

  

We, the State Chairmen of the MNLF State Committees in Mainland  Mindanao  and Chief Commanders of the  National Unit Commands – Bangsamoro Armed Forces (BAF), together with the cross-sectoral leaders  coming from the religious, youth, women and other indigenous groups, in a Special  Cluster Inter-state and National Unit Command Meeting  held at Camp September 2, Sambulawan, Midsayap, Cotabato, Mindanao, South Philippines have unanimously decided the following, to wit:

 

  • Strongly reaffirm our  commitment to the strategic goals and objectives of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) under the able leadership of His Excellency Prof. Nur Misuari, the Chairman of the MNLF  Central Committee;

  • Strongly reaffirm our loyalty, trust and confidence to H.E. Prof. Nur Misuari as Chairman of the Central Committee of the MNLF;

  • Strongly concur with the historic decisions of the 27th Bangsamoro National People’s  Congress held recently in the Islamic City of Marawi and laud the valorous wisdom of the 5,000 representatives to the said Congress for their unwavering stand for complete peace, justice, freedom and development for the Bangsamoro Homeland of Mindanao, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-tawi, Palawan and its sister islands and islets—all comprising the national ancestral territories of our people;

  • Strongly welcome the  patriotic decisions of the 27th Bangsamoro National People’s Congress of electing H.E. Chairman Nur Misuari as President of the Bangsamoro Republik, and for converting the Bangsamoro Congress to Parliament;

  • Strongly endorse the MNLF bid for full membership at the 57 member-countries Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) comes the 35th Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers (ICFM)  slated to be held in Kampala, Republic of Uganda;

  • Expresses thanks and sincere gratitude to the OIC Heads of State and Government for their continued support, assistance and concerns to the plight of the Bangsamoro people, and for their extraordinary initiatives and efforts which paved the way for the temporary liberty from house-arrest detention of H.E. Chairman Nur Misuari;

  • Expresses thanks and sincere gratitude to H.E. Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the Secretary General of the OIC, to the OIC Peace Committee for Southern Philippines and to the Ambassador Sayyid Kassim Al-Masry Peace Mission for their extraordinary efforts in bringing back to the right tract the GRP-OIC-MNLF Peace Process, and for their creative initiatives in ensuring peace and development in our Homeland;

 

Unanimously approved this 14th Day of May, 2008  (8 Jumada al-Ula 1429H.).
